Although I have never been a big fan of Michael Jackson, he was always some kind a part of my life.
Being born in the same year when his third solo album - 'Bad', was out, listing and dancing to his songs I can say, like many others, that I grew up on Michael Jackson's music, even if I wasn't his huge fan, tracking his every step.
I listened to his songs played in the radio, sometimes I read about him in newspaper; he was that kind of person, about whom people were always gossiping and who caused controversy.
Though he was strange, odd with that so called 'Peter Pan' syndrome who wanted to fulfill his childhood dreams in his Neverland Rancho; he had a very, very big impact on the world in which we live today, especially music. When few days ago I bought some of his CD's and started listing to them I was surprised how many songs that we can hear nowadays played in television or radio, were inspired or remixed from MJ's original songs.

Seriously I've never thought about it, how it would be, if one day Michael dies. Now, when it's almost week after King of Pop, as Michael Jackson called himself, sudden death, we all feel like the world is going to change for ever.
That day of 25th June, as I called it 'black Thursday', we've lost a legend, a great performer and entertainer, who gave people joy and happiness through his music.How he was or wasn't I think that, Michael Jackson was a person who started a new era in music industry, and with his death this era came to the end. There won't be another Michael Jackson with his moonwalk, singing 'we are the world'; he was unique in what he was doing, no matter if he had his good or bad moments in his career. He had an enormous influence on present music and was an inspiration for many, if not for all young artists whose songs we can hear nowadays.

I think that everyone, if he was his fan or not, should pay a tribute to him - the Legend of the Thriller.
